Operation of the Fire Pump Manually.
The fire pump system is recommended to be operated automatically, while manual operation should only be done during an emergency (emergency) or when the AUTO system does not work so it cannot turn on the pump.
The way to operate manually is by pressing the MANUAL push button or the ON button on the control panel for both the electric pump, diesel pump and Jockey pump.
To maintain that after the road fire consultant pump, the pump can run continuously to serve hydrants on the press pipe made by bypass pipes equipped with a relief valve, so that if the water pressure in the pipe is close to 11 Kg / cm2 the relief valve will open (water from the relief valve will be returned to the suction pipe or bottom tank) and the fire pump will not die or stop working.
Pressure Relief Valve is set open at a water pressure of 10.5 Kg / Cm2.
Pressure Tank used in hydrant pump installations is intended to maintain the stability of the pressure from the hydrant pump, also serves to remove the air trapped in the hydrant pump installation.
The alarm gong consists of a valve with capillary and bell pipe accessories that will function with the help of water pressure flowing in the hydrant sprinkler installation.
Alarm gongs are commonly installed in the pump room, usually on the riser (for vertical type). If there is an open from the installation system, either the hydrant (opened landing valve) or the broken sprinkler which results in a flow of the capillary pipe from the alarm then moves the bell with mechanical power.
To maintain installed equipment and installations so that they are always in good condition and functioning, periodic checks and maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the regulations.
Treatment for three months
Basically, this quarterly treatment is the same as monthly maintenance, it only needs to be emphasized to do testing, namely:
The thing that needs to be done every year is to examine the installation system as a whole by the following way:
Function MANUALLY / AUTO to dispose of water that is on the installation network while the pump stays alive, open through the Pillar Hydrant, Hydrant Box, and Drain at each flow switch in each building.
